This week Troitsky held a statics review workshop! Our design director, Nikola, worked hard to create a set of questions that explained basic concepts easily that you will need to know in order to build your bridges, such as bending moment diagrams and how to calculate stress.
Knowing as much as possible about these topics is important because once you have built your bridges, you will need to present to a panel of judges. Your presentations should include all the calculations you have made about your bridge, since it helps the judges get a clear understanding of how capable your bridge is and that every aspect of it was carefully planned for.
