Build Session #1

The University of Toronto Troitsky Bridge Building Team recently held its first build session, where teams gathered to begin assembling their bridges in preparation for the upcoming competition at Concordia University. The event was filled with energy as students applied structural design concepts to create strong and innovative models. Teams collaborated closely, tackling challenges like load distribution and joint stability while refining their designs for maximum strength. The session offered a valuable hands-on learning experience that complemented their academic knowledge.

A key highlight was the support provided by experienced club executives, who offered practical advice on material use, connection techniques, and structural integrity. Their insights from past competitions were invaluable in helping participants strengthen their builds and approach design problems creatively. Beyond the technical work, the session created a sense of community, with students building connections and sharing ideas in a collaborative environment. This successful kickoff marks the start of an exciting journey as teams prepare for future workshops and testing sessions, striving for competition success.
